Hey everyone! I recently spent 3 months in Crete and decided to rent a car for the duration of my stay. It was a mixed experience, so I wanted to share some insights. First, the pick-up process was really smooth. I rented through a local agency, and the car was delivered directly to my accommodation. I was given an old model, but it worked fine for the most part. The one downside was that I had to pay for a full tank up front, and then I had to return the car with the same amount. It was a bit tricky to figure out how much fuel I had used, so make sure to take a photo of the gauge when you pick up the car!

Hi! Renting a car in Crete https://rentcar.gr.com/ is a great way to explore the island. To avoid issues, book with a reputable service that offers well-maintained vehicles and clear rental terms. Check the car for any pre-existing damage and take photos before driving off. Always familiarize yourself with local driving laws, such as speed limits and parking rules. Also, be aware of narrow, winding roads in rural areas. Lastly, ensure your rental includes insurance for peace of mind during your travels. Enjoy your trip!

Yes, and make sure to check the fuel policy! Some companies require a full tank on return, others have different rules. Parking in tourist areas can also be tricky, so plan ahead if possible.
