Office Cleaning

I work for a start-up with a small but growing team, and we’ve just moved into a new office space. At the moment, we’ve been cleaning the office ourselves, but it’s quickly becoming unsustainable as our workload grows. We’re now considering hiring a professional office cleaning company, but I’m overwhelmed by the number of options out there.

My main questions are: how do you determine what level of service you actually need? Some companies offer daily cleaning, deep cleans, or even eco-friendly services. Is eco-friendly office cleaning just a marketing buzzword, or is there a noticeable difference in quality and safety?

I’m also concerned about security. Since cleaners often work after hours, how do companies usually ensure trustworthiness? Do you give them keys, or should someone from the team stay behind until the job is finished? I’d like to avoid any awkward situations but still make sure our space is safe.

Lastly, how do you balance cost versus quality? As a start-up, we don’t have unlimited funds, but at the same time we want the office to make a professional impression. If anyone has tips on what to include in a first cleaning contract, I’d be really grateful.
