![]() Hello,
I’m currently in the process of setting up a new design agency in East London and one of the (many!) things on my to-do list is arranging regular office cleaning. Our space isn’t huge – about 120 square metres, mostly open-plan with a small kitchen and two toilets – but we’re big on presentation and want to keep things looking fresh and clean, especially when clients visit. The thing is, I have no idea what a reasonable price is for professional office cleaning these days. I’ve had quotes ranging from £30 per visit to over £100, depending on frequency and services offered. Some include window cleaning, deep cleans of kitchen appliances, even plant watering (which I found quite amusing). Others charge extra for things like cleaning computer screens or emptying bins, which seems odd to me. So my question is – what’s normal? What’s reasonable? What are you guys paying for similar services in and around London? Do you go for weekly, bi-weekly, or daily cleans? Are there any hidden costs I should be aware of? I also wonder if I should hire an individual cleaner or go with a cleaning company. One of my mates said he uses a self-employed cleaner who’s been with him for years and is very affordable – but then again, what if she’s sick or goes on holiday? With a company, you at least get cover, right? Would really appreciate if some London-based business owners or managers could chime in. Also – if you’ve got recommendations for reliable office cleaning providers in Hackney or Shoreditch area, I’m all ears! Thanks in advance. |
