Hi everyone,
I’m considering different skin treatments and am torn between chemical peels, laser resurfacing, and microneedling for acne scars. I’ve spoken to a dermatologist, but they gave me quite a general overview and I’d like to hear from people who have actually experienced these treatments. Does microneedling have any advantage over chemical peels or lasers when it comes to scar reduction? I’ve heard that it’s less harsh than laser treatments and comes with shorter downtime, but is it equally effective? I’m also concerned about side effects. I’ve read that microneedling can cause temporary redness and swelling, but I wonder if there’s any risk of permanent damage, especially if you have darker skin tones. With peels and lasers, I know pigmentation issues can be a risk – does microneedling carry the same concerns? If you’ve had microneedling for acne scars, how did it compare to other treatments you tried? Did it give you better results, or was it more of a subtle improvement? I’m trying to decide which route is worth investing in, so your experiences would be really valuable. |
